Terms & Conditions
Last updated 31 August 2026
These terms govern your use of MovePlan ("the Service"), provided by Michael McCoy trading as MovePlan ("we", "us", "our"), 31 Priorwood Road, Newton Mearns, Glasgow. By creating an account, you agree to these terms in full. You use the Service as a consumer.
1. What the Service is
MovePlan builds an interactive 8-week countdown checklist and a pre-filled address-change letter pack from the move date and postcodes you provide, and lets you download both as a PDF.
2. Payment and access
The Service is sold as a single one-time payment of £14.99, not a subscription. Payment grants an access pass valid for 90 days from the date of purchase. Access does not auto-renew — no further payment is ever taken automatically, and continued access after 90 days requires a new, separate purchase at the then-current price.
If you are a consumer, you have a statutory right to cancel a purchase for any reason within 14 days for a full refund, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
3. Availability of the Service — please read this section
MovePlan is a small, independently-run service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time, including permanently. Your one-time payment grants access to the Service for as long as it continues to operate, up to the 90-day access period described in Section 2 — it is not a promise that the Service will run indefinitely or for any minimum period beyond what’s stated there.
If we decide to discontinue the Service permanently, we will make reasonable efforts to notify account holders by email in advance, and to keep the Service available for a period afterwards so you can download your checklist and letter pack before it closes. We are not obliged to provide a refund solely because the Service is discontinued, beyond your statutory cooling-off right in Section 2.
4. Accuracy and your responsibility
The checklist is a helpful, general-purpose plan — you’re responsible for checking it fits your own move (property type, distance, any special requirements) and for verifying anything third parties (banks, DVLA, your local authority, and so on) actually require of you. The letter pack is a template to help you notify people of your new address — it doesn’t constitute legal or removals advice.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to submit unlawful content, attempt to bypass access controls, or scrape or bulk-extract data from the Service.
6. Intellectual property
We own the Service’s software, design, checklist logic, and letter templates. The move details you enter remain yours, handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be lawfully excluded. We warrant that the Service will be provided with reasonable care and skill. Beyond that, our total liability to you for any breach is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
